by - May 17, 2018

Another Premier League season has finally ended which saw Manchester City clinching their sixth PL title. With Pep Guardiola as their manager City looks like to start a dominating dynasty. This season show the uprising moments of some truly talented individuals Mo Salah being the prime one who cost Liverpool just $40.5 million at the start of the season. The transfer window is really exciting time for a club as manager seem to freshen up his squad.  With money being spent at high rate in football these days there were some players this season who weren't really worth it. So here is our list of top 5 footballers who didn't seem to justify their value.

A rough season for a bright prospect

Big things were expected from the Nigerian international on his move to the King power Stadium but lack of proper game time have been his biggest struggle .Even when he is on the pitch he doesn't seem to be sharp enough .Iheanacho has been in the list of 'highly promising' and not wrongly so. He can play as main striker himself or as supporting forward but he has a lot of room to improve and with time under his belt. But at the moment his $27 million cost price hasn't been justified and it is highly unlikely for Manchester City to trigger the buy-back clause they put while selling him.

England's no 1 to West Ham bench

Former England's No 1 Joe Hart return to England was considered to be his path to book a flight for himself to the Russia World cup. But things aren't going on any well for him he have slide down to the West Ham bench lying behind Adrian as the first choice. Misses and errors in Torino were considered to be little bit of his fault as it is always difficult to settle in changing football culture. Back in England he move to play for hammers on 1 yr loan deal and after a season to be forgotten performance his morale have drop down hugely and it is clearly seen in the pitch with lots of mistake between the sticks it seems highly unlikely for 31 yrs old stopper to return to best of his form.

a big underperformer this season

Antonio Conte have been highly criticised this season for his transfer policies and among them selling Nemanja Matic to arch-rivals and buying Bakayoko as a replacement was a horrific man. Former AS Monaco personnel service cost Chelsea $47 million was not seen anywhere near feeling up Matic void but there were times when he looked to be burden for the team. It is clear that it wasn't the right club for the Frenchman who has been below average all season long. Although being focal point of all Chelsea's mistakes he played 37 games all competition showing Chelsea's mistakes. Just at the age of 23 he have time to turn things around but his blue jersey might not be the place where it can happen.

simply dreadful seson

After signing golden boy winner it was for sure that Paul clement was planning to start a new era at Swansea but the 20 yr old Portuguese have heavily under performed this season not even showing glimpses of what he is capable of with side managing to win 1 of 12 games he featured in. With whooping 0 goals and 0 assist this season the talented some times showed no interest in playing at times. It is highly unlikely for him to reach the heights that was expected from him after his performance in Euro 2016 after series of horrific loan spells . Sanches transfer hit the Swans real hard as they were relegated to the second division but they might be happy of fact that they didn't buy him permanently.

  • ALVARO MORATA(CHELSEA): After selling Diego Costa it seems now that Chelsea got rid of goals as their record signing Morata have a drastic dip in form who have scored 1 goal since December.
  • GYLFI SIGUEDSSON(EVERTON): $60 million move to Everton in the summer and we are not sure why? and who ruined whose career or money? The Iceland talisman have lost his touch heavily in Toffees shirt this season.
  • KEVIN WIMMER(STOKE): A rotational player at Spurs Wimmer looked good at his times that let Stoke to go for him in the summer but after being part of 17 appearence in which they concede 31 it is safe to say that it was bad bit of business.
  • VICTOR LINDELOFF(MANCHESTER UNITED): Although being not in lineup frequently because of injury Lindeloff have not seen any near to justify his $43 million price United paid for the centre half.Sloppy mistakes in back have cost at times to United this season without De Gea's gloves their defenders have had done enough to place them below the Champions league spot

250 mins appearance for $40 mill.

Being former Ajax captain at tinder age of 21 it was expected a lot from the Dutchman in the Premiere league and Everton thought they have landed a classy player when they paid $40 million for his services. With the Dutch man playing just 250 minutes of football in 7 appearance it is clear that Everton paid money for absolute nothing at the start of the season. He along with several others are part of the bad business by Everton when the season stared. The 24 yr old can change and improve a lot but Everton's manager Sam Allardyce seems keen on selling the midfielder this summer which seems to be suiting everyone.
